3.1OVERALL SCOPE
*Accountable for project execution and release to Jabil's sites based on Customers and Jabil's standards. * Guide Tooling construction and improvements, assure highest standards are being maintain and follow up on Tooling performance thru the molding's cell (KPI).
3.2AUTHORITY
• To lead and collaborate on DMF's, Mold Design Reviews, to propose changes to actual Mold Tool and Part Design, Collaborate on creating Mold Tool maintenance and mold validations / Molding machine and peripherical equipment / Robot's End of Arm.
• To create working procedures on Molding Areas and approve changes on document control platforms such as J.D., NWQS, Windchill as well as other document control platform.
3.3RESPONSABILITIES
Responsibilities for ensuring Jabil sites execute to Customer & Jabil Standards for asset delivery.
Global technical Liaison for Jabil's Sites and Customers.
Directs site teams on Molding & Tooling guiding principles inline with WCM / Customer.
Customer facing - Participate from NEW RFQ’s, Initiation to PQ.
Advises on vendor selection and perform vendors assessments.
Accountable for NEW Molding asset delivery, it may include End Of Arm Tooling.
Supports sites with engineering hiring.
Can lead development projects.
Responsible for ensuring Jabil sites setup & execute to Customer's M&R process.
Escalation support for serious breakdowns including root cause & corrective action including other Jabil's sites, Customers and suppliers as needed.
Support sites in Mold Tooling Vendor escalations.
Support sites with identifying, defining & executing Downtime, Scrap & OEE projects during hand off ramp up production.
Train Sites Customers and Suppliers on Mold Tool and Part Design for Injection Molding Best Practices and Jabil's standards.
Perform random audits to NPI validations and tooling procedures to assure Jabil's standards.
Close collaboration on RFQ's, DFM's, Design Reviews, FOT, MFAT, Mold Tool Validations, Mold tool corrective and preventive maintenance at Jabil's Sites
To provide support to other sites thru Q&A global tooling platform.
Identify new technologies and applications that meets Jabil's and costumer's actual and future needs.
Identify, Equipment Improvements and propose solutions.
Other responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
3.4 GOALS
Meet delivering date of projects, within specifications and efficiency. It will be measured by on-time projects and projects performance.

JOB PROFILE
5.1 ACADEMIC LEVEL (MINIMUM REQUIRED)
  • Bachelors Degree
5.2 JOB RELATED EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum 7 years in similar positions
5.3 DOMAIN OF ACTIVITIES
  • BS in engineering or related technical field.
  • 10+ years’ experience in an injection molding manufacturing environment, last 7 years MUST be on the Mold Tooling Engineering Area of regulated industries such as Medical Devices or Automotive.
  • 7 of the last 10 years of experience MUST be directly on the Tooling Area of Plastic Injection Molding in regulated industries such as Medical Devices or Automotive
  • *5+ years' experience in collaborating with technical groups such as Automation, Tooling Eng, Process Eng, Maintenance Eng, and Tool Room Eng., on the validation and implementation of new projects.
  • *Experience with tooling vendors selection based on product requirements
  • Experience leading tooling constructions with tooling vendors.
  • *Knowledge of materials (resins) and their effective characteristics on the Molds and equipment, such as steel selection, shrinkage, demolding angle, vents, gates, etc.
  • *Experience with Overmolding Molds and two-shots Molds
  • *Experience with multicavity valve gated molds
  • *Able to interpret Mold filling simulations on Moldflow and Molex software.
  • *Able to operate design software such as SolidWorks and ProE to review and modify designs.
  • Experience leading Mold design reviews systematically.
  • Experience on Creation of Mold Standards for Injection Molding Molds
  • *Strong knowledge of the stages for mold acceptance, from DFM to Tool maker acceptance to Production Facility release.
  • *Predictive and corrective maintenance of injection molding Molds and its main components. Knowledge of levels of Molds PM, and common mold repairs.
  • GD&T understanding
  • *Experience identifying Molds improvements to correct issues on molded components
  • Strong analytical, organizational and project management skills to work with projects in different sites.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • *Be able to effectively communicate on English and Local Language
  • *Travel requirements are from 25% to 50%, based on projects workload, and his/her ability to effectively work remotely with other sites, customers, and suppliers.
  • *Self-starter and able to work in teams with corporate technical and strategic leaders
  • MS Office
