SOX Compliance leader - HQ and International Markets

The opportunity
This position leads and manages the SOX compliance and internal procedures of the Headquarter and International Markets Region. Responsibilities include risk assessment and evaluation of design and operating effectiveness of internal controls over financial reporting.
Will collaborate with management and key owners to promote control consciousness and develop an effective & efficient internal control environment.
Will manage a team of 1-2 employees.
How you’ll spend your day
- Evaluate and assist management to identify risks in financial processes and design controls to cover these risks.
- perform and document process walkthroughs and detailed control testing in order to conclude on the effectiveness of SOX controls, and produce written reports and other documents with clearly organized thoughts.
- Maintain and improve documentation of existing internal controls
- Identify gaps between risks and implemented controls, consolidate deficiencies, evaluate magnitude, and report it to management.
- Promote and monitor remediation plans.
- Provide professional guidance and trainings on SOX compliance, including best practices.
- Collaborate and coordinate with other SOX leaders to implement and develop SOX methodologies.
- Develop and maintain positive work relationships with management and with our External Auditors.
- Manage a team of 1-2 employees.
Your experience and qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in accounting or business related field.
- Master’s degree from an accredited university in accounting or business related field.
- Minimum 5 years of SOX compliance and internal audit experience.
- Big 4 public accounting experience - Advantage
- Management experience - Advantage
- Licensed CPA.
- Vast Knowledge and strong understanding of SOX requirements, internal control framework, business process analysis and risk assessment.
- Strong understanding of US-GAAP.
- General understanding of the pharmaceutical industry is preferred, but not required.
- Strong analytical and skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to extract and synthesize information and draw conclusions.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Hebrew.
- Ability to effectively communicate with cross functional personnel at various organizational levels.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment by collaborating with and influencing cross functional personnel.
- Deadline-focused, organized.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
